About Us
The organisation was set up to support ex-military personnel and serving military with re-integration to civilian life by dealing with the issues they face when leaving the Armed Forces. BAABT also is a service provider for the Probation Service supporting any veterans or military personnel who have come in contact with the Criminal Justice System. BAABT is also a partner in the Pan-Dorset Armed Forces Covenant.
The Bournemouth Above And Beyond Trust (BAABT) supports Veterans, Service Personnel and Service Leavers in their transition to civilian life. The charity offers bespoke support, emotional wellbeing, rehabilitation, environmental regeneration, and education services.
BAABT has supported over 300 individuals, with 44 gaining nationally recognized qualifications. More than 60 individuals supported by the charity have come through the Criminal Justice system.
The Trust was co-founded by Amedeo Angiolini and is supported by five additional trustees. The Trust has attracted over £120,000 in funding bids over the last 10 years
The Trust offers water sports therapy for PTSD and anxiety, community interaction groups, beekeeping for stress relief, and woodland management activities to improve health and wellbeing.
